I made these trousers with Ottobre's instructions and pattern. The fabric wasn't what it was supposed to be because you simply can't get it here. I haven't even been able to find ribbing anywhere...

Hopefully I will soon be adding more earrings and bracelets on here. I have ordered a lot of new material and hopefully I will have time to make some as well :) Until then!

Rosalie visited Bahamas

I bought a Didymos wrap called Rosalie. It's a brownish wrap with white and pink and I quite liked it that way but because we have a boy, and because the person I bought it from suggested that it might look nice if dyed with Bahama blue, I decided to have a go so yesterday Rosalie went to the washing machine to visit Bahama Blue.

Mei Tai

I made a mei tai for a friend who had a baby a week ago, I'm still not sure if we're going to give it to her though because mei tai isn't the best of options for a newborn, and also because Dave likes it a lot :D

It's a reversible, one side is of a fabric I bought in Ikea and the other side is denim. The straps are made out of 50/50 cotton linen blend.

Wool wrap

I was knitting this wool wrap for months but finally finished it a couple of weeks ago and lanolised it and we've now used it at night time and it works great. And it's so much easier to get on as well rather than the normal pul covers as you can just pull them on (Niko doesn't like to lie on his back at all). It's a bit big but I suppose he will grow into it :D These were made with the Curly Purly soaker pattern.

Nappy wrap

This is the first PUL nappy wrap I've made. It works really well thanks to the leg gussets. I had never used FOE (fold over elastic) before and it was a bit tricky to get the right stretch out of it but I finally succeeded to get more than less the correct stretch :)

Mei Tai

I made my very first Mei Tai baby carrier some weeks ago. It was quite easy to make, I got the instructions from this website: http://www.make-baby-stuff.com/mei-tai-carrier.html. This Mei Tai has got interchangable panel which means that I could have a lot of different looking Mei Tais in one :) So far I've only got one panel, the one on the second photo. Maybe I will make some more in the future, we will see.

On the 14th of February it was Valentine's day so I decided to make a Valentine's day cake. I thought a chocolaty sacher cake would make a perfect Valentine's day cake so that 's what I ended up making. Do I even have to mention that it didn't last for long? ;)

Cakes

I've been browsing all those wonderful cake blogs that there are on the internet in the past couple of weeks and I decided to try making some cakes myself too as I hadn't made any for ages.
This first one is a chocolate cake filled with chocolate filling and Canarian banana cream. First a couple of pictures of the unfinished cake.

And here is the cake, ready to be eaten:

In the end I decided to add some chocolate decorations too but they melted as soon as they touched the cream. At least I know to use different type of chocolate next time.

And here's another cake. I tried making and using marsh mellow fondant first time in my life.

I also made another cake, a small chocolate cake but I forgot to take a photo of it before Dave took it to a couple who are celebrating their 52nd(?) anniversary tomorrow.

Yesterday I received some of the beads I've ordered from Ebay and also a soldering torch. Today I bought some gas for the torch so that I can start making jewellery as soon as I get everything else :)

No updates for a while again but today I've finally been decorating decos. Some of these I decorated a week or two ago, some were decorated today. I had quite a few decos waiting in my swapping box so I thought I better get them moving. I've still got some left there and I'll try to finish them all in the next three weeks as I'll be on holiday after tomorrow until the end of the month :) Also soon you will see a lot of jewellery here on my blog because I've ordered absolutely loads of material on Ebay. But it won't be for another few weeks yet I think because I still haven't paid for anything as there are still some open auctions for stuff I'm bidding for from the same people and as everything is coming from China, I will probably have to wait a couple weeks until I get them.

I've not updated for ages. The reason for it is that I haven't really done any crafts lately :( But we're going to my colleague's wedding on Saturday and I wanted to make a card for her. So here it is. I'm sorry the photo's not too good :(

Also a couple of days ago I was really bored at work and I was reading a letter from a penpal who makes beads and went too see her website BeadsByKelly and found these paper beads so I decided to start making them. And you can see the result below. Now I just have to start designing jewellery that I can make with them.

I've been decorating decos yesterday and the day before. I'm glad I got some done because I've had some of them for months so it's about the time for them to start moving. I think for now on, I won't have more than 10 decos in my swap box at the time. I've signed up twice for a 100g deco swap so some of these are going to those and some are going to my 2 1kg spring clean out parcels. I also hope to get some more done tomorrow. Here are the scans:

Sorry I haven't updated for ages. I just haven't really done any crafts. I made some a load of stickerbags the other day but you can't really call them crafts.. Yesterday I decided to start knitting a cat. It was a nice warm sunny evening so I sat outside knitting for about 3 hours. I've almost finished with the body of the cat. I think I'll finish with the rest of the parts today.

I also made some different food yesterday; a grapefruit, chicken and pistachio salad. A lot of different tastes on one plate :) The recipe can be found here. And here's a picture too

Today I've made some cards with rubber stamped images. 2 birthday cards; 1 for dad who will be 51 on the 24th and another one for my uncle who will be 50 on the 28th. Now I just have to hope that they will receive them on time. My uncle should but my dad might have to wait.. And then I also made a card to go with the bracelet I made a couple of days ago. I thought they all came out quite nice :)

I finally made some FBs today :) I've been meaning to make some for weeks now but "didn't have time". But now they are finally done, but I still want to make some more tomorrow, as well as some decos. And I'd also like to crochet or knit something from my new vintage knitting magazines. Where does all my spare time go?? I only work every third day but it feels like I've got no time! I hope my holidays would begin soon...still over a month to go though. Well at least in a couple of weeks I will only have to work every 4th day so maybe I'd have some more time then. Also it would help if I didn't just sit by the computer until 1 or 2 o'clock in the afternoon. Well anyway, here are the Friendship Books I've made today.

Yesterday...

I was supposed to update this yesterday but I was too busy watching 'Los hombres de Paco' on TV. I had planned to make lots of N&N FBs yesterday but in the end I didn't finish any of them. I cut the cardboard and put some backing paper on them but I didn't actually make any because I started making labels for the pals they were for and after that I had to cook (made a ham and cheese quiche in my bread machine/automatic cook and some sweet&sour chicken and rice for today) and then I "had" to start watching telly. But at least one thing that I had planned to finish, was actually finished, a bracelet for a group swap (see photo).

Today I'm at work so I won't be doing any crafts. Tomorrow I want to finish all those FBs I started yesterday.

I thought I'd better create a blog for my crafts too :) I will add pictures of my crafts here, including also decos, FBs etc. I will also try to explain how I've made what ever's on the picture. This propably won't be updated daily as I won't be doing crafts everyday due to my 24 hour shifts at work... But I will try to put everything I make on here, maybe even some of my cooking and baking :)
